We have received an initial response from our peering partners. This is clearly a quick statement. We will await the official RFO and communicate that. This Issue will remain open for 72 hours.

Our senior level team has remediated the network event now. The cause of this event was at the software level on our internal network.
More extensive troubleshooting and repairs will be made in a followup maintenance window to be scheduled. - Identified ·
As of 11:32am Eastern, partial connectivity has been restored at IAD3 Data center.
**Please be advised that 8Dweb does not provide an ETA on network events above and outside our networks - this is for obvious reasons since our team is working to analyze our networks, and work with peers and uplines to provide consistent information on traces, routing and link connectivity. It is simply impossible to provide an ETA for an event outside our network and systems. You will need to check status.8dweb.com frequently,
Additionally, RFO (reason for outage) reports often take several days, especially since peers and uplines must analyze their data and technical reports. 8Dweb will provide an RFO when it is available.

8Dweb personnel have ruled out network issues in our inner and edge facing equipment at this time. We are working with Data Center team to assess why traffic is stopping at IAD1.
As a precaution all edge-facing and internal routers and switches were thoroughly checked for configuration errors or outages. No commits have been made to 8Dweb interior or edge-facing equipment in well over 2 years.
Additionally all cloud systems have been thoroughly analyzed and are functioning normally.
Once our network peers have demonstrated where the technical problem lies we will update this status page.
